CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

 Working in my studies

In Art Theory and History, the knowledge that is reviewed and incorporated by students, guided by their vocational interest and their disciplinary sensibility, is positioned as general humanistic studies, with special dedication to the history and theory of the arts. Certain basic skills are required to understand conceptual problems, and a basic sensitivity to the management of links between discourse and visual representation.

The workload is well distributed by what I have so far as experience, although it is a reality that when I do not do my homework in a reasonable time the accumulation of tasks and material to study becomes very tiring. I consider that the duration of the studies is very good as it is four years, but it is an advantage to do a master's or doctorate in a subject of interest to increase the level of professionalism.

The faculty in which I study has a considerable time of antiquity, but it fulfills the basic services that must be had in an educational institution. Even with this, it would be a very beneficial action to improve the space in which we are currently located, since it is much more precarious compared to the other faculties of the Juan Gómez Millas campus. The best thing that our faculty has is the casino, for its exquisite and varied food, and also our garden outside the building, as it is a very good place to socialize and connect with nature.

We have to constantly use technology since many of the written and visual works that we have to study are in digital format, apart from that, during the classes we use the image projector regularly.

The way in which the academic methods are established, is strictly guided by the constant concern of cultural and patrimonial events. Among the main strategies to develop our study is research and dissemination, either within the public or in a private company. We work a lot with museums and public and private collections, libraries and archives.
